NYC Private School Kindergarten Placement Consultant
As the former Director of York Avenue Preschool and member of the Board of The Independent Schools Admission Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY), Dr. Starr is highly knowledgeable of the process of attaining placement in the most prestigious private schools in New York City. With her insight into the schools and their programs, she is able to provide parents the information they need to help determine which schools are most appropriate for their child and help families navigate through the admissions process.
She can also assist with application essays when requested.

Please note, that the September Admissions season begins the prior year, in March.
Parent Workshops
A number of workshops for parents are offered throughout the year providing helpful strategies, action plans and practical tools and techniques to help parents deal effectively with parenting issues, while reducing their stress and anxiety.
Through discussion parents receive support and positive parenting skills while learning about the developmental needs of their children. When parents are well informed, students are successful.
